Stan
Stan Sailors, born in 1920 in the Falls City area . He attended schools in Richardson County. After graduation from high school in 1938. he attended Peru State College. He earned a teaching degree in 1939 and taught country school in district 83 northeast of Falls City. In 1941 he went to District 99, Preston Ne school. He joined the Army in 1942 and was in the signal corps. Dec 12, 1942 he served in North Africa, 1943 in Sicily, then to Winchester England till D day +4 to Normandy. Then he went to Belgium, France, and Germany. He was discharged September of 1945 . After the war he returned to Falls City, Ne and started in the shipping receiving department of Sidles Company in 1945. After a few years he was promoted to outside salesman. In 1958 he was transferred to Centerville Iowa as a manager. The manager of the Falls City store retired 4 years later and Stan was transferred back to Falls City in 1962. In 1977 the store was sold to Stan and he became owner operator. He retired in 1998 and the sons John and Chuck took over operation. Back to Top John

Born and raised in Thedford Ne, Thad was a member of the US Navy from June of 1986 through 1990. He received a medal for heroism for action taken during a gun turret explosion aboard the USS Iowa in 1989. In June of 1990 he was honorably discharged. From 1990 to 1995 he worked in Rapid City, South Dakota at adams machining. In 1994 Thad won 1st place in the VICA statewide contest for automotive machining. From 1996 till the present time Thad has been employed at Mr. Automotive in Falls City. He is an ASE certified master engine Machinist. He has had16 years experience, from small engines to large diesels, Thad can handle them all. Thad enjoys his 2 children Tyler and Abbigail. In his spare time he enjoys drag racing. Back to TopDaisy
Daisy is a 2 year old yellow lab. You could call Daisy the store mascot. She is a very friendly dog that loves kids. She isn't much for working though, you can find her sleeping in the front window for most of the day. She does enjoy traveling from Nebraska City every day to get to work. Back to Top |
